Within walking distance is our local pub The Blacksmiths Arms serving real ale and good food.
Pathways cross the Lickle Valley which offer an ideal opportunity to walk, explore and discover our beautiful valley, try also the nearby forestry woodland paths or try a stroll up Stickle Pike, for a more strenuous walk try Caw, White Pike or Walna Scar which leads ultimately to Coniston.
Explore the local area and visit the Coast, Lakes, Lakeland towns and villages.
Visit the nearby market town of Broughton-in-Furness where you will find the butchers shop selling locally reared produce, greengrocer shop, a wonderful organic bakery and cafe and last but not least the Post Office selling daily newspapers and a variety of gifts.
Broughton-in-Furness also hosts a variety of eating places, cafes and local public houses some selling real ale, plus two garages both selling fuel.
